Child Safe

Our parish is committed to providing a safe environment for children and families to develop their relationship with God and with each other. As well as observing all the legal and moral obligations of society, the parish community seeks to faithfully follow Christ and His gospel teachings, particularly with regard to children and vulnerable adults.

Our parish leadership implements a raft of procedures, practices and training and is downloaded for more information.

All of our staff and volunteers undergo training and updates for our parish. This is compulsory.

We have a dedicated Child Safe team. Current members are Fr. Joe Taylor (parish priest), Di Teitzel (Office Manager), Sr. Agnes Murphy RSM (PPC representative), Kathy Hunt (parish community representative) and Paul White (St. Brendan’s Child Safe Officer). The team meets regularly to oversee the policies and procedures that have been adopted and ensure that they are implemented.
