Baptism Program

Baptism of  infants and young children 

Baptisms are held on the fourth Sunday of each month, except August and December which are on the third Sunday and by appointment in January.

Baptisms can be held during mass, either Saturday 6pm or Sunday 8am or 11am, or at the 12.30pm ceremony.

Parents are expected to attend two preparation meetings on the first and second Wednesday of the month (except January). These are held at 7.30pm in the Monsignor Peter Jeffrey Centre (directly behind the Church).


Baptism of children in the grade 3 to 6 age group 

Baptism information same as for baptism of infants and young children.

Parents and children are to attend the two Wednesday evening meetings followed by a third session on a Sunday morning for the children at 9.30am in the Monsignor Peter Jeffrey Centre.

Contact the Parish office for current additional (third) meeting dates for children in this age group.

Children will then be baptised on the fourth Sunday of the month following their preparation (except for the months of August and December).

Children are then expected to continue with the Sacramental Program to be fully initiated into the Catholic Church.

At least one parent must be Catholic and at least one godparent must be Catholic. 

Baptism of secondary school  
age children

Children interested in this program will be referred to the Parish Youth Ministry worker.

Program is offered once a year with the Baptism usually held in August.
